I was on location at Fort Benning to see Russell take his first jump and his next four jumps.
Best I could figure, He was one of those small dots coming out of the plane. Can you imagine jumping into a 200 mph wind. He said at times he would feel himself brush up against the side of the plane.These fine soldiers at this point reminded me of cottonwood seeds floating through the air to the ground.

Russell ended up his 4 year term in June, 2001 with the Army at Fort Bragg, NC. He logged some 35 jumps. Here, he became a Sergeant with the 82nd Airborne.
