2nd graders--2008-2009

This is something like my 36th year teaching in church.  It has always excited me to see children accepting Jesus as a part of their lives because they love what He has done for us. The Word of God (The Bible) tells us adults as well as those of you who are teens, “except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven”--Matthew 18:3.

MEMORY WORK FOR WINTER, 2008-2009 QUARTER

Parents,   Your student needs to memorize the 23rd Psalm and Galatians 5::22-23 for this year.  Please work with them on this, as we will do the same in class.

The Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd: I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures:

He leads me beside quiet waters,

He restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of Righteousness for His name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I fear no evil: For you are with me;

Your rod and your staff They comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies:

You anoint my head with oil;

My cup over flows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

Galatians 5:22-23 -- The Fruit of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
